Hi, I’m Shaun, a photographer based in Okehampton, right on the edge of the beautiful Dartmoor. When I picked up a camera as part of my Duke of Edinburgh Award I knew this was my passion and I haven’t put it down since. Now in my 30s, photography has become more than a creative outlet—it’s a way of connecting with people, telling their stories, and helping them see the beauty in themselves and their lives.

I specialise in capturing natural, expressive moments in a relaxed, judgement-free environment. Whether I’m photographing a person, a pet, or a live gig, I always start by getting to know the subject and building trust. That connection is what allows me to create honest, meaningful images—photos that don’t just look good, but feel real.

With over 15 years of experience, I’ve worked on everything from family sessions and car shows to live events like Wreckage at The Cavern. I’m also currently studying a masters through Falmouth University, where my focus is on how photography can support wellbeing and mental health.

My own journey hasn’t been easy—I've faced mental health challenges, homelessness, and social anxiety—but photography has always been a grounding force. I know what it’s like to feel unseen or not good enough, and it’s my mission to help others feel confident, valued, and proud of who they are.

Outside of work, you’ll find me exploring the moors, spending time with my family, or getting lost in a board game or roleplaying adventure.

If you're looking for someone to create genuine, heartfelt images—with a little patience, kindness, and creativity—I’d love to work with you.
